News - Acton Farmers Market

Fancy a different sort of CRUNCH?

Ever been tempted by a naked turnip or had your head turned by raw red cabbage?

Now’s your chance to try a cornucopia of raw vegetables at Acton farmers’ market this Saturday, and until the end of January.

We’ll have a selection box of rainbow coloured winter vegetables for you to try in their natural state, from beetroot to broccoli. Whatever our growers recommend, it will be there to tempt you.

From the obvious (carrots, celery, fennel) to the not so obvious – celeriac, turnips and beetroot,  Jerusalem artichokes, winter squash).

And coming straight from the farm they’re all in tip top condition, packed with vitamins and minerals, whether you juice them, make them into a winter salad or beat the chills with a warming winter soup.

So, this weekend, and for the rest of the month at Acton farmers market, be brave, face a raw beetroot with a smile!
