Young Business Awards - October 2008

Action Acton and the Ealing Education Business Partnership announced the Young Business Award Competition, a workshop for young people to learn entrepreneurship skills.  The event took place on Tuesday October 7th, from 9am until 4.15pm at Acton & West London College and London Transport Museum. There were about 70 students and young people between 16 and 25 who spent the day learning from local business mentors and teachers during workshops and meetings. Working in teams, they were asked to come up with a business plan centred on creating a market stall business.

The Action Acton judging panel is reviewing all entries and the results will be announced soon. Winning entries will be given grants of up to £1000 to put towards their business plan.
The Young Business Awards was funded by the London Development Agency and organized through the Ealing Education Business Partnership.
